Is anyone else really interested in the battle of Waterloo? I recently read Malcolm Balen's book A Model Victory, which offers a decent narrative account of the battle itself, but which also tells the story from the perspective of Captain William Siborne, who made a complete scale model of the scene.

I was never really aware that the Prussians played such an important part in campaign - it seems Wellington wanted to cut them out of history and give all the glory to the Brits!

It's a really good read and if you're interested in the Franco-British wars you ought to have a look - has anyone else managed to glance at it?

Also, has anyone been to see the models (they're on display in England) - the pictures of them look amazing. If anyone's been to see them it'd be great to hear from you.
